R&B artist and songwriter Orlando Dixon is a classically trained vocalist and self-taught pianist. The Washington D.C. native and graduate of the Berklee College of Music says that his goal is to build a legacy. Orlando appears to be taking the right steps because he has songwriting credits for Chris Walker’s song Everyday Woman, which peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Urban AC chart and Juanita Bynum’s song Soul Cry, which reached number 1 on Billboard’s Gospel chart. He has also shared the stage with such artists as Lalah Hathaway, Paula Cole, and Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire. Orlando is working on his full-length album and has already released his single Invisible. Orlando has quite a YouTube following, as his channel has 24,000 subscribers and his videos have received over 3 million views. I instantly knew what all the buzz was about when I watched his live performance of Invisible. Check it out below.
