Teresa JeneeSinger/songwriter Teresa Jenee is making music her way. The St. Louis native describes the result as “music that is soulful, introspective, and refreshing”. Those words definitely describe her 2009 album, The Ecklectic. The name fits the music perfectly as Teresa wrote and arranged all 10 tracks, which reflect her many influences, including Lonestar, Lauryn Hill, Elton John, Erykah Badu, Kim Burrell, and Coldplay. I have listened to The Ecklectic for the past several days and each time, I enjoyed something new about the songs. This album is another example of how high quality music does not have to conform. Check out Sunday and In Ur Eyes below and visit her Bandcamp site for a free download of her new single The Storm.
