Best Live Performance

With all of the talk about Michael Jackson over the last week, I said I wouldn’t add to the discussion. But, I had a conversation with my mom about him that got me thinking about today’s discussion post. As we were talking about MJ, she said, “I remember the time I saw Michael Jackson perform live! He was really something!” As she described how remarkable his show was, I thought of how nice it would have been to have seen him perform live as well.
That conversation made me think of the many concerts I’ve attended. I figured it might be a good idea to mention the artists whose shows were too amazing to forget; just in case you get a chance to see them sometime too. So, to start the conversation, I’d say these 5 artists are definitely worth seeing live:

1. Stevie Wonder – All I can say is that he’s a musical genius. You should see him remix his own songs on the spot.
2. Algebra – Her stage presence is sincere and she is great with audience interaction.
3. Erykah Badu – Her creativity is unmatched. I’m convinced that no two Badu shows will be alike.
4. James Bolton – His voice is anointed and it’s obvious that he truly believes in his lyrics.
5. Ledisi – She literally gave one of the happiest shows I’ve ever seen. She smiled with nearly every word she sang.

Have you seen any of these artists? Who would you add to this list?
