Have you heard of Choklate? If you haven’t, you’re certainly missing a treat. I was shopping for music on iTunes when her newly released sophomore album, To Whom It May Concern, caught my attention. I don’t know where Choklate’s music was hiding, but I’m so glad I found it. She notes on her website that she’s “just a big ol’ mash of good music”. I have to agree because as I listened to the album samples on iTunes, I enjoyed the obvious jazz, r&b, and neo-soul influences of the songs so much that I immediately purchased the whole album. From the upbeat Hunney’s Runnin’ and The Tea to the mellow Grown Folk and Ain’t It Funny, To Whom It May Concern has the sound and variety that true soul music fans adore. Be sure to check it out soon on iTunes and Amazon.
